One of my favourite FAMP albums and a good introduction to how they work. Like leafing through a crumbling, musty, old sonic scrapbook. Hypnotic drones, melodic loops and fragments of voices from a lost past. Total immersion!
The usual sui generis excellence that I have now come to expect. It is difficult to think of something to write without sounding obsequious. I just tell anyone who asks that you've not heard anything like it before. Dream soundtracks.
Favorite track: The Remembering Tape.
Red Fades First was recorded during a heat wave in the summer of 2013. The project explored the effects of mildew on chromium oxide, and of chromium oxide on mildew. The complexities of a damaged spectrum.

Somehow something more than just a musical experience. Uncanny in a way that remains just outside of my ability to explain properly. I would say this is this the best record yet but all Fossil Aerosol records are great. Nathan Duin
